Who we are
Ballroom Baby Geelong is Geelong's fast growing ballroom and latin dance studio. Operating from our own studio in Geelong's busy nightlife precinct, we're open 7 days a week for social dance classes, wedding lessons, Zumba, debutante training, dance achievement awards, competition training and more. The highlight of our week is our Friday Practice Evening - the only one of it's kind in Geelong. We also operate Ballroom Baby Torquay, a predominately social dancing school in central Torquay, approximately 1.5 hours from Melbourne CBD.
Ballroom Baby is located in Geelong CBD, only 1 hour from Melbourne CBD by car or rail, and only 40 minutes from Melbourne's western suburbs.
Who we're looking for
Geelong is growing and so is Ballroom Baby. We need motived, energetic, creative and clever Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue instructors who can take lessons for social dancing, medals and recreational level competitors. We are looking for someone who can put the fun of dancing into every lesson while providing an appropriate level of instruction to their students. You should be able to build relationships with your clients to continue to build our business and encourage their growth. You should act as a role model to your students and other community members, not only in dancing but in your values. You may also be required to partner students at our biannual medal nights and from time to time at Dancesport Australia (DSA) competitions.
The successful person will be required to travel to our studio in Geelong CBD, once a week (or more if available) to take lessons independently and without supervision across a variety of ages and experience levels. We are flexible with times starting with 2 - 3 hours once a week and expanding from there.
Renumeration is per hour and commensurate with experience.
